1 Wash hands and sterilise

Wash your hands before preparing formula. Sterilise bottle, teat and any utensils by boiling in water for 5 minutes or use an approved steriliser.

2 Boil water

Boil safe drinking water and allow to cool down.

3 Measure water

Measure exact amount of previously boiled water into a sterilised bottle. Refer to feeding guide for quantities of water and powder.

4 Use enclosed scoop

Use only enclosed scoop. Lightly fill scoop with powder and level using built-in leveller. Avoid compacting powder.

5 Add powder and shake

Always add one level scoop of powder for each 50mL water. Place cap on bottle. Shake briskly until powder is fully dissolved.

6 Test formula temperature

Before feeding your baby, test the temperature of formula on your wrist. Feed immediately. Discard any unfinished feeds.

Prepare each bottle individually. It is safer to use formula immediately after it is prepared. Should you need to prepare formula in advance, refrigerate immediately and use within 24 hours.

Infant formula may be used from birth. Putting your baby to bed with a bottle can cause tooth decay.
